Yaron Minsky from Jane Street Capital is here giving a talk about why typed functional programming is actually useful in the real world. I think it's actually a very good talk, but probably CMU is the last place he needs to give it. Though maybe there are some people in the audience here that haven't already drunk the proverbial kool-aid.
