Here in Victoria, BC, listening to WMM talks. It's a pretty good time. The average interestingness-per-talk is better than usual for most conference-attending I've done.

Ran into old lounge rat Carl Eastlund here. Apparently he's been a grad student at Northeastern for a while, being a scheme hacker. Who knew?

Finished "Three Hainish Novels" on the plane. It was fuckin' beautiful. Thanks for the recommendation, psifenix!
