I declare the internet experiment in gaining new friends through bribery to be a FAILURE* and this evening to be a SUCCESS. Because, although I do enjoy meeting new people, the people I already know are also pretty awesome and I got to hang out with a bunch of 'em.

D's for a while, sherbrook for a while, and some interesting PL discussion with gwillen on the walk home.

*Although nondeterministically asking out an as-yet-undetermined person does have the interesting possible (and in this case actual) consequence of being turned down by someone you have never met, and whom you did not realize, by virtue of the nondeterministic nature of the request, you were asking in any particularity. The sheer novelty of it prevents me from feeling disappointed.
