gwillen on the walk home.*Although nondeterministically asking out an as-yet-undetermined person does have the interesting possible (and in this case actual) consequence of being turned down by someone you have never met, and whom you did not realize, by virtue of the nondeterministic nature of the request, you were asking in any particularity. The sheer novelty of it prevents me from feeling disappointed.
