[Apr. 28th, 2007|11:47 pm]

n1h2k played at the so-called "roboprom" tonight, some sort of dress-up sit-down wine-and-dine thing for the robotics students. It didn't beat Ruy's party for musical togetherness or rewarding insanity of people in attendance, but I still had a lot of fun. It was nice to be able to be significantly less well dressed (I for instance had on like a tie and corduroy jacket, and jeans and sneakers) than everyone else (who were wearing decent suits) and not care, because we were the band. Pretty fucking exhausted now though.

I say, was the Roboprom the thing that was taking up the Newell-Simon atrium this weekend? I saw something dancy and artsy being set up in there Friday night, and earlier this week I got an e-mail saying that any trumpet sounds we might hear between such-and-such a time on such-and-such a date were just practice for some event.

No, roboprom was down at the sheraton in station square.

I think we are doing something on May 12th that is possibly more open?

The name "roboprom" suggests to me something distinctly more awesome than what it seems to be in practice.
