Symbols and punctuation and such are never as exciting as letters for me, but I drew some numbers today for Beatriz:

May have this thing done by the end of xmas break with any luck.

Yayeh! Numerals with proper ascenders and descenders! Curse the all-caps modern numeral look...

I presume you're playing with font-making software. What're you using? I've been looking for good software to make fonts for a long time, because I have a kick-ass written writing style that I want to make into a font (well, actually 2 fonts, one fixed-width for terminals, and another variable-width for other purposes). I've played with fontforge, but I'm not sure it's quite nice enough to invest time into learning it. All the free fontmaking software on Linux looks pretty complex.

In fact fontforge is what I use, and I think it is awesome.

If I could sit down with you sometime and watch you make a few letters, I would be most gratified. I have stubbornly tossing myself at fontforge off and on, but have so far failed to make a single letter that does not look ugly.

Sure, I'd be happy to. I have figured out some good idioms using Add Extrema, Merge, Elide, and holding down the shift key.
